Sustainability
Total connectivity. With this goal in mind, Hanab Telecom Infra aims not only to make life easier and more enjoyable, but also more sustainable.

Urban challenges
Connectivity is essential in addressing five key urban challenges in the coming years: energy, waste, mobility, safety and health. Think of solutions such as smart grids, self-driving cars, and sensors in waste containers and infrastructure. By enabling total connectivity, our work contributes indirectly to a better quality of life, greater sustainability, and CO₂ reduction.
Sustainability within Hanab Telecom Infra
As part of Hanab, we’re committed to building a sustainable and inclusive society. We work hard to minimise the environmental impact of our activities. We aim to use less energy, choose greener sources, and operate more efficiently – all to further reduce our CO₂ emissions.
Many of our offices, logistics hubs and project locations are powered by wind energy. And more and more of our colleagues are switching to electric or hybrid vehicles.
We try to avoid waste wherever possible: we use materials and resources responsibly, reuse where we can, and otherwise separate and recycle effectively. When possible, we apply circular design strategies in our projects.
EcoVadis sustainability assessment
Hanab Telecom Infra takes part in the annual EcoVadis sustainability assessment, which evaluates our corporate social responsibility. In 2023, VolkerWessels Telecom (now part of Hanab Telecom Infra) received a bronze medal, placing us among the top 35% of all companies assessed.
ISO14001
We hold the ISO14001 certification, which confirms that we set and achieve environmental goals based on clearly defined environmental aspects.
CO₂ Performance Ladder
Hanab Telecom Infra is certified at level 4 of the CO₂ Performance Ladder, as awarded by the Foundation for Climate Friendly Procurement & Business (SKAO).
