ACM has approved Hanab’s acquisition of Van Boekel Groep
Amsterdam/Uden, 7 October 2026 – The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) has approved Hanab’s acquisition of Van Boekel Groep. With this approval, the previously announced transaction has been formally completed and Van Boekel Groep has become part of Hanab.
Through the acquisition, Hanab strengthens its position in water infrastructure, water treatment, road construction and civil engineering. The move aligns with Hanab’s growth strategy and provides access to a market that is expected to expand significantly in the coming years, driven by investments in drinking water, water management and wastewater treatment.
“Water is increasingly emerging as a strategic infrastructure domain for the Netherlands,” said Stanley Maas, CEO of Hanab. “Substantial investments will be required in the years ahead to enhance drinking water production, water management and water treatment. By welcoming Van Boekel, we are strengthening our expertise, capacity and delivery capabilities, enabling us to support our customers even more effectively in addressing this important societal challenge.”
The acquisition follows Hanab’s recent expansion in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, including the acquisitions of Green Frog Connect, AMS Trenchless and CTC Solutions.
