Hanab - new name for leading specialist in energy technology and connectivity
AMSTERDAM - Three companies from the VolkerWessels Group are to continue as independent entities under the name Hanab and the new company will instantly become the leading specialist in the fields of energy, technology and connectivity. The new structure will allow the company to respond to the energy and communications transition, which over the coming decades is set to play an increasingly important role in the construction sector.
The three VolkerWessels companies that will continue independently together are VolkerWessels Telecom, Homij and Visser & Smit Hanab. The new company, Hanab, can trace its history back more than 160 years. With around 3,600 employees, the company is a strong, independent player in the market. The new company’s head office will be based in Amsterdam, while its operations will be international.
Hanab comprises six divisions that operate both independently and collectively. The divisions are – in alphabetical order – Connectivity Solutions, Infra Solutions, Energy Solutions, Installation Technology, Pipelines & Utilities and Telecom Infra. In addition to these divisions, Hanab has branches in Germany and the United Kingdom. The Hanab Academy provides training for its own employees in technology and safety.
