Hanab strengthens its market position with acquisition of A. Ploem & Zn. of Limburg
This move creates a powerful combination of local expertise and national reach.
Amsterdam, 1 April 2026 – Hanab is set to acquire the family-run business A. Ploem & Zn. of Landgraaf with effect from 1 April 2026. The acquisition is in line with Hanab’s growth strategy, which is to play a leading role in making the Netherlands more sustainable. A. Ploem & Zn. will continue to operate as an independent company, under its own name and with its own management. Day-to-day operations, customer relationships and employees will remain unchanged.
By joining Hanab, the company gains access to greater expertise, development capabilities and project capacity, whilst retaining its strong local character. The teams will continue to do what they do best but will be given additional opportunities to grow and serve customers even better.

A logical addition to Hanab Installation Technology
A. Ploem & Zn. is joining the Hanab Installation Technology (HIT) division, the part of Hanab that specialises in building services engineering. HIT has a long history and works nationwide on electrical and mechanical installations for sectors including non-residential, residential, healthcare and education.

Hanab Installation Technology (HIT) is the division of Hanab that specialises in building-related engineering. It has a long and rich history, originating in Homij, a company founded as far back as 1882. HIT designs, installs and maintains electrical and mechanical installations for offices, healthcare institutions, educational buildings, non-residential projects and residential construction.

A. Ploem & Zn. is a well-established family business based in Landgraaf, founded in 1930. The company is now run by the fourth generation and has evolved to become a versatile full-service contractor specialising in heating and climate control systems. With around 80 employees, the company offers a wide range of services, including the installation and maintenance of central heating boilers, air-conditioning systems, heat pumps, electrical installations and plumbing. It serves both private and business customers.
Led by the third generation, notably Michel Ploum, the company has grown significantly and further improved its professional image.
