Passion for Craftsmanship

How we bring this to life

At Hanab, it’s all about delivering quality work. Work with purpose. What defines Hanab’s craftsmen and women? That’s something we actively discuss together, so we keep learning from one another. That’s why we launched the Passion for Craftsmanship campaign. A campaign in which we show together what craftsmanship means. And how we improve it every day.

Toolbox

What does this mean in practice?

In the coming period, the focus is on recognising and making craftsmanship visible.
We do this by sharing a Passion for Craftsmanship toolbox.

This toolbox includes practical tools and questions that help you actively work on craftsmanship and discuss it within your team: short, concrete and directly applicable in day-to-day work

Do you have a colleague who deserves recognition? Send an email to: liefdevoorvakmanschap@hanab.nl

Include their name and explain why they deserve the Craftsmanship Award.

What is passion for craftsmanship?

Passion for craftsmanship is about how we do our work. It’s about delivering quality, taking responsibility and continuously improving. It’s not just one thing. You see it in how we approach our work, in what we know and can do, and in how we collaborate.

The craftsmanship model

The craftsmanship model

Craftsmanship at Hanab is built on three elements:

Passion, ambition and pride
This is about our mindset. Wanting to deliver work you stand behind and are proud of.

Knowledge, skills and experience
Knowing what you’re doing and understanding how things work in practice.

Open attitude and collaboration
Working together with colleagues, clients, partners and the environment to deliver better results.

What sets a true craftsman or craftswoman apart is the combination of all three—not one or two, but all of them togethe

It’s already in you

Passion for craftsmanship is nothing new.
It’s already part of how we work, how we make decisions, collaborate and deliver quality.

That’s why we make it explicit and give it a name. We do this through stories from colleagues.
Craftsmen such as Gert, Denny and Davy show what craftsmanship looks like in practice.

This helps you recognise it, in your own work and in that of your colleagues

What does this mean for you?

Passion for craftsmanship starts with you.

Take a look at your own work:

  • Do you deliver work you truly stand behind?
  • Do you know what it takes to deliver quality?
  • Do you work together to achieve the best result?

And look around you.
Do you recognise this in your colleagues? Then you also know where craftsmanship becomes tangible.
